Filipino Australian Health Workers Association (FAHWA)
FAHWA Inc is a licensed charity in Western Australia which is devoted to making a difference in the community. We have outreach and health promotions programs. These programs are mobile assessment screening for diseases and symptoms. We provide information on nutrition and physical fitness.
We aim to collaborate with mental health institutions in Australia. At present we are fundraising for dinner and dance. Part of the proceeds goes to mental health unit in a homeless shelter. Currently we are helping the homeless on the streets by distributing packs of food, hygiene, sleeping bags and blankets.
